Set a price and bill the client

Client billing is set after the site is live, from the Business tab's Selling side ("Set the price" on the site's card) or from the site's green Manage button ("Set up client billing"). You set a one-time build fee, which is optional, and a monthly price between $5 and $5,000. Pindrop makes the payment link; copy it right there and send it to the owner. Until they pay, the link also sits on the Clients page under You.

• Monthly is what client billing is. The monthly price you set is billed to the owner every month by Pindrop and your share is paid out to you.
• One-time only is fine too. Tick "One-time only, no monthly" on the pricing screen and the build fee is the whole deal. The site then stays live as long as your own plan does; with a monthly it stays live as long as the client pays, even if you leave.
• Bill in US dollars, Canadian dollars, British pounds, euros or Australian dollars. The owner is charged in that currency; your share lands in your bank in your own currency.
• Nobody has to bill through Pindrop. If you would rather invoice the client yourself, you can; your own plan is what keeps the site live in that case.

What to charge

Whatever you want, and you keep 90% of it. What most closers charge: $250 to $500 up front for the build, plus $29 to $49 a month for hosting and updates. Small shops say yes fast under $50 a month.
