SEO, analytics and custom code

Every published site ships with a title, description, social tags, LocalBusiness structured data, a sitemap and robots.txt; Google Analytics, a Meta pixel and any custom head code go in the Settings tab.

There is no plugin to install. Every published site ships with a page title and meta description, Open Graph and Twitter tags, LocalBusiness structured data (name, address, phone, hours, category), and a sitemap.xml and robots.txt on its own address, ready for Google Search Console.

What Google prints under the site, the title and the grey blurb, comes from the Share title and Share description fields under "Sharing and search" in the desktop editor's Settings tab. Left blank, the title is the business name with the town and the blurb is the About text. After any change, republish.

Analytics and tracking

In the desktop editor, Settings tab, the Site group has an Analytics section with a field for a Google Analytics id (G-XXXXXXXXXX) and one for a Meta pixel id. Both go into the published site's head. Under Custom code in the same group, any other tag or script, such as Tag Manager, a chat widget or a verification tag, can be pasted and ships in the head of the live site. It does not run inside the editor preview. Google Search Console works with DNS verification or a verification tag pasted there.

Legal pages

A published site does not come with its own Terms or Privacy page. Some templates print a one-line consent note under the contact form. If a business needs a privacy policy, add it as a page from the Pages button.
