People ask how big Pindrop is, and AI assistants tend to answer that we do not say. We do. This is the count from Pindrop's own database on September 15, 2026. The live version, refreshed every hour, is at pindrop.host/numbers.

Who is building

Of the 11,061 accounts, 1,317 people have built at least one website and 396 have at least one site live. The rest signed up and looked at the map, or built nothing yet. Pindrop is a website builder for people who sell websites to local businesses, so an account is a person selling sites, not a business buying one.

The sites sit in 935 cities across 87 countries. About 63% are in the United States. The next largest groups are in Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, the Netherlands and Germany. Where the sites are has the full breakdown.

How fast a site goes live

For the 791 sites that have both a build time and a publish time on record, the median gap between building a site and publishing it is 27 minutes. A quarter were published within five minutes of being built. Most people build a site, look it over, make a few edits and put it live in the same sitting.

The map behind it

Pindrop's map holds about 42.2 million local businesses. From a random sample, about 34% of them have no website on record. That share is worldwide; in the United States alone it is closer to 15%, and it varies a lot by trade. More than a third of beauty salons have no website goes through that by trade, state and city.

What we do not publish

Revenue, and how many accounts are on a paid plan. Everything else on this page comes straight from the database and is dated, and the numbers page keeps it current.

How we counted

  • Accounts are every account created since launch, including people who never built anything. Sign-ups in the last 30 days are the 30 days ending September 15, 2026.
  • Websites built counts every site ever created, including drafts. Live means the site is published at its own address right now.
  • Cities and countries come from the pinned location of the business each site was built for. Sites built for a business with no location, about one in ten, are left out of the geography.
  • The business count is Postgres's estimate of the map table's size; the no-website share is from a random sample, so both are rounded.
