How the map works: gold dots, green dots and marks

The map shows real local businesses as dots. A gold dot is a business with no real website: either nothing at all, or only a social page such as Instagram or Facebook, which the card calls "Social page only". Those are the leads. A green dot is a business that already has its own website. The blue dot is you.

Tap any dot to open its card: name, category, address, phone, and "No website found" or a link to their site. Make website on the card starts a build for that business with its real details pulled in. The search bar finds a business, a street, a town or a country anywhere in the world.

Marks

Every business card has three marks behind the small three-dot button: No-go, Talking and Client. Tap one to mark the business, tap it again to clear it. A mark recolours the pin so it stands out: No-go turns it red, Talking blue, Client purple. Marks are private to you and never change what anyone else sees. A business you have published a site for counts as a client automatically.

Filters

The filter button above the map has No website only, which hides every green dot, My clients only, and a list of industries. The filter stays on while you pan and search until you switch it off.

Lead names before you have a plan

Without a plan or trial, the names of gold leads are masked on the map and on their cards. Green businesses show their real names to everyone. That is deliberate: the no-website leads are the product. A trial counts as a plan and shows the real names.

The data is not perfect

Business data comes from public listings. A gold dot can occasionally belong to a business that does have a site, and a closed business can still show. Check before you pitch. On the template page after Make website, the card ends with "Was this right?" so you can report a wrong entry, and every report also marks that business No-go on your own map.
